Finish carpentry is the trade the business started in, and it is still the part that decides how a room looks when it is done.
Skirting, architrave, cornice, dado and picture rails, door hanging and second fix carpentry.
Older Hampshire houses are rarely square or level, so mouldings are cut to the building as it is rather than as a drawing assumes.
Work is left ready for decoration.
