Built around the TV and fire
Media Walls in Fareham and Hampshire
Designed and built around your home. TVs, electric fires, lighting and storage, all considered for a custom design.

We build media walls in lounges, open plan living spaces and bedrooms. Each one is made to the wall it goes on.
A media wall is a built-out wall that holds the TV and, in most cases, an electric fire. The cables run inside the frame, so nothing hangs loose under the screen.
We start by measuring the wall and asking which TV and fire you plan to use. The fire maker sets the size of the opening and the space it needs around it. The frame is built to those sizes.
The face can be flat and painted, slatted, or finished in 3D panels. Shelves and cupboards can be built in on either side.
What goes into a media wall
- TV and electric fire built into the wall
- Cables hidden inside the frame
- Shelves and cupboards built in
- Lighting planned into the design
Media walls with a fireplace
An inset electric fire sits in an opening below the TV. The gap between the fire and the screen matters, because both heat and viewing height come into it. We set the TV at a height that is comfortable from the sofa, then place the fire beneath it.
If you have already chosen a fire, send us the model and we will build to its fitting instructions. Let us know early who is wiring the sockets and the fire, so the frame is ready for them.

Media walls with storage
Cupboards in a media wall hide games consoles, routers and remotes. Open shelves suit books and ornaments. We plan the doors and shelves around what you want to keep there, and leave space for air around anything that gets warm.

Corner media walls
A corner media wall angles the TV across the room. It suits a lounge where the main wall has a door or window in the way. Few corners are square, so the frame is scribed to the walls.
What a media wall costs
The price depends on the size of the wall, the fire, the finish and the storage. We price each wall once we know these.

Media walls we have built

Media wall questions
- How much is a media wall?
- It depends on the size of the wall, the fire, the finish and how much storage goes in. We give a price once we have seen the wall and agreed the design. Our media wall cost guide explains the main costs.
- How deep should a media wall be?
- Deep enough for the fire you choose and the cables behind the TV. Inset electric fires list the depth they need in their fitting instructions, so we build the frame to suit the model.
- Can a media wall go in a corner?
- Yes. The frame is set out to the corner as it is, with the TV angled across the room.
- Do I need to choose the TV and fire first?
- It helps. The openings are cut to their sizes, so we need the models before the frame is built.
- Can a media wall have 3D panels?
- Yes. The face can be finished in 3D panels, slats or flat painted board.
